Hi. i got a hp Envy laptop with a 

AMD fx 7th generation card. 

and was wondering if that will work well for secondlife

Look at the system specifications and check with the minimum specs for SL.

Best way to see is startup SL and move all graphics sliders and settings to the max, enter a crowded area and see what happens :-)

I have what can be generously called a school laptop. You know, lower end. I still manage nicely on SL though I keep graphics at mid.
