how do I retrieve a deletred avi from a lomg time ago ?

Only if you are really lucky, but it's worth a try.

Follow the instructions at https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Accounts-overview/ta-p/700019#Section_.5.2 .  You may have to answer a mess of questions from Linden Lab to verify that you are the account holder, if they can actually retrieve an account that has been dead for 7 years.
