I can't hear the music when I go to dance island or other clubs.

What pref in sound and media do I use  to hear music when at the clubs? It cuts out when I arrive. I can hear typing and other avitars but music leaves shortly after tp. Help!

You should be able to control the media from your viewer window by toggling the media button in the bottom right.

Press the arrow keys and press and/or depress the media controls.

Go into Edit  > Preferences > Audio & Video  and see if the box 'Turn off media when you change parcels' is ticked.  If you do not want it to shut off, uncheck the box.  Otherwise, all you have to do is what Storm has suggested, toggle the switch on your lower toolbar to turn on the music when you change parcels.  Good luck!

If the previous suggestions dont` fix it, is it a DJ stream with lots of people there? Because there is a limit to the number of listeners a stream can have (depending on how much you pay for it) and it could be that it is maxed out.
