how do you change birth year

i accidently chose a few years younger and did not notice until i was in the game... how do i change it to the real year

You must file a support ticket with LL and be prepared to send them whatever RL documentatoin that they require showing your correct date of birth, such as a birth certificate.  They will tell you what they need and where and how to send it.

It is hard to believe that people don't know their own birthday.  So, don't even think about doing this if you are really a minor in RL. LL takes this very seriously and may ban you.

You mean, you picked  a wrong birthdate because you thought it wouldn't matter and you always sign up with false personal informations.

OR

You mean, you picked the correct birthdate, but you now realize that you can not access the adult areas with that.

It would probably be easier to create a new account.  Given this account is only a few days old you shouldn't have much to lose anyway.
