Question

Hey there! I'm having a bit of a problem. I'm trying to figure out how to use my in-store credit in the Maitreya in-world store. I have quite a bit of credit, however, when I purchase an item, it's coming out of my Lindens, and not the store credit. Any ideas?

Look around for a sign that provides instructions on how to use the vendors.  Some of them let you use store credit with left click, and pay $L with a right click.  Other stores require you to be wearing a gift card or a store credit card to be able to use it.

If all else fails, send the store owner or management staff a notecard requesting assistance.

To use Maitreya store credit:

If you don't have enough store credit for the item you want to buy, firstly go to the service desk and pay the silver Store Credit notice the extra amount you need, like this:

https://gyazo.com/50337e826b50e94ffccc6fe0cdf0286d

Then click that notice again, it will confirm how much store credit you have left.

Then to use the store credit for your purchase, right-click the vendor for the item, and choose 'Menu' on the top of the wheel thingy which pops up, like this:

When you click menu, you will get the purchase option for store credit, like this:

(This is the same if you wish to gift an item so someone else)

Finally, don't be a dummy like me and forget to wear your VIP group tag before you buy *anything* in store, so that you do earn your store credit!

Thank you, CSR Gryphon Ronas, for all your help with this...  hopefully this post will save you answering this question in the future!

EDIT:  OMG!  The forum tagged me as a newbie!   I'm 12 years old.  But there's a reason for that  *giggles*  Go here to find out what it is:

Although you responded to a 5 year old post, I'm sure someone will find it helpful.  Also, it's your first post on the forums that makes you a newbie.  It has nothing to do with avatar age.

Thank you Rowan!  It answers the question I couldn't find easily in-world so I did my homework and decided I could help others in future.  It ends up being the first result in a Google search for 'Maitreya store credit', so hopefully anyone else who Googles that will find it.

I think I did make a few posts here years ago under my old name, but like everything else, it was time for a fresh start!
