in the meanwhile you can look yourself for places here in the landforum section, mainland or estate rentals

and you can look in MP for real estate rentals.

Also inworld you can look by using the search function.

Search Classifieds for them under the Property Rental Category.  You'll find some there. including skyboxes. 

You may want to consider a skybox since it gives you more privacy and you can chat in public chat without worrying about your neighbor seeing it.

Hi, Mavens Rentals has furnished apartments that start at 99 linden a week plus 25 extra prims. The apartments have a living room set that you can choose multiple textures and styles for and a bed with animations that you can also do the same so you can make the place your own.

There are also unfurnished apartments starting at 99 linden with 50 free prims if you want to do your own thing.

Rentals come with privacy and security and a dance machine.
