I clicked restore in world from my inventory but the items have disappeared, any suggestions

I assume that you are using the Firestorm feature that restores objects to their previous position on a region.  That feature will fail unless you have permission to create objects at the extreme southwest corner of the region (location <0.0,0.0,0.0> ), because it works by rezzing your objects at that spot and then moving them to the previous rezzed position.  It will also fail if you try to restore the object on the wrong region.  I'm afraid that in either case, the item may be lost permanently.

I'm not sure what happens if you use that Firestorm feature on a coalesced object.  Unlike in a linked object, the items in a coalesced object are not connected in any way, so there isn't just one "previous position" for it.  I frankly do not know whether you can use it safely under those conditions.  That's one to ask the Firestorm support staff.
