Ouch @ buying it numerous times, if you get one failed delivery contact the creator and ask for redelivery...Your friend will need to contact them.

Make sure that you are not using Busy mode as that will reject delivery.

The other thing to check is that you have not, by accident, muted the outfit's creator or the object that's trying to send you the outfit.;  see http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/File:Viewer2Tips-Communication-MuteList.png -- that's easily done without realising it.

If your friend has not accidently muted the item's creator or the item itself, then they should create a polite notecard, providing the transaction details from your Dashboard > Account > Transaction History so that the creator can send a duplicate.

Make sure that you check your Objects and Lost & Found folders to make sure that you did not actually receive it.  Good luck!
