Why does Linden Labs just block a flagged item with no REAL explaination?

Hello, the explanation is in the bold text.

Maybe you used too many search terms or listed the item several times ...

Cannot give more information but it seems you did something against the Terms of Service.

Don´t be angry, if that didn´t happen to you before - in 8 years - you are a lucky person.

I got alot flagged things because of wrong this wrong that. Sometimes i couldn´t figure out what caused an item to be in the wrong category or i didn´t find a better one so removed the item and left it for good.

Calm, check the items and see if you can figure out what´s wrong. Maybe post a link (ok that won´t work it´s blocked) or a screenshot so other merchants could help you.

Thanks for your response Monti but NOPE, I have been flagged before with the same explaination, and only got to guess at what that statement ment. Its not about my items, its about someone flagging me to be evil. I am just closing my store. I am so sick of not getting REAL answers or even a chance to fix what is claimed to be wrong. If you dont become a Prime member you're treated like trash.. I am SO DONE. Thanks for your time Monti. Some of them say; Practices-Harmful or disruptive content.  ??? WTH does that mean? Rebel Till I Die is Harmful? PFFT. EVERYTHING that got flagged and blocked has to do with the Rebel flag. Someone has issues. My shop is now closed. LL can live just fine without any profit from me unless they want to discuss this issue and allow me to address it, then color me DONE. I will sell my stuff inworld on my own vendors and keep that profit..

NOT TRUE, I was told directly from Linden Labs that if I would become a Premium member that I could actually speak to someone about expectations and what was wrong, otherwise you can submit a ticket and have a nice day or dont

Is that all the message you get? No real explanation at all?

  • First of course, check that all your keyword matches the item. It's easy to go wrong there. ALso check the title and product features fields on the Edit Item Listing page. Anythng you've written there counts as keywords too.
  • And of course, check the product description. Is everything you writtn there correct?
  • The prim count - is that the actual land impact of the item?
  • If you have marked the item as mesh, is it?
  • Have you used any know RL or SL brand names anywhere in your listing?

Unfortunately, even if you make sure everything is right, the MP software has two rather nasty bugs that can seriously coorrupt a lsiting:

  • It is very common for items to disappear from a folder when you copy it to the Marketplace. Check and double check that everything is in the folder before you list
  • If you use the Quick Fill function, keywords from the original listing will remain, hidden in the keyword fields for the different languages. You have to click one each of the little language flags and remove them manually. (This bug is supposed to have been fixed now but you never know.)

Yes ChinRey no real explaination at all. You get to guess whats wrong. Everyone of those listings have been in my shop for several years. So it isnt like they're brandie new listings. As a matter of fact I sold two of the Grits lowcuts just the day before. You get no chance to fix whats wrong or told whats wrong, they just do a general point at the TOS and expect you to figure it out. Every one of the items tagged has a Rebel flag on it, so NO there are no brand names on the items and I have never used the Quick Fill function. I dont even put in search words anymore because I obviously didnt do that right once upon a time, and got locked out of my account for a week. Policies need to change. A merchant should at least be allowed to address an issue without it just being yanked and blocked with no more explaination than an auto generated response. That would mean that if you dont like the Canadian flag or you didnt like me for example, that you can just flag something and POOF my work is gone... WAY NOT COOL

I never got to see your listings of course so I have to take your word that they were all ok. It's hardly a secret that the Marketplace is an amateurish mess maintained through arbitary decisions so it doesn't really surprise me.

I suppose you also did check for that first bug I mentioned: open each folder in your Marketplace listings window in-world and see that all objects that are supposed to be there actually are.

Next step is to open a support case at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ Then just keep reopening the case every time they try to close it. I better warn you though, it's a long and tedious job. The only way to get proper answers there is to wear them out.
