Randall Ahren
Thank you. The shirt seems to work as advertised. It's called a Smart shirt, made by Alphamale. A good place for cocktails is Murray Infohub. There is a bar there where you can get a huge vodka watermelon drink, among other cocktails.
Sylvia Tamalyn
I think I missed this thread the first time around, so thanks for reviving it! I love to get dressed up and to see others doing the same. P.S. Don't let Wildcat drive if she's had a cocktail or three.
Wildcat Furse
yw, ...I will check out Murray's infohub .... if I am not to drunk of course :smileyhappy: *meows* @Sylvia .... yeah you are right ... lol
Randall Ahren
So you're just a bad driver? :matte-motes-big-grin-wink: If you're going to be doing something soon after that requires fine motor skills and good judgment such as driving or brain surgery, I recommend sticking to virgin daiquiris and margaritas. @Sylvia, looking forward to your photos. Sylvia Tamalyn
Here I am wondering if my secret lover ran off with the one that you misplaced in the Vanity thread...
Randall Ahren
That's a pretty grungy looking place for such a pretty dress. I hope you were planning to go someplace nicer for cocktails after meeting your secret lover.
Sylvia Tamalyn
Alas, the cad stood me up, so I was stuck in that seedy location! (Actually, the only nice place I know is Franks, but I didn't want to copy your story *too* closely.)
Randall Ahren
Back at Murray Infohub for their special Halloween Witches Brew cocktail. It has quite a kick to it. I don't recommend it on an empty stomach. Make sure you get an appetizer with it.
Sylvia Tamalyn
Wow, some of the cocktails at Murray are huge! I didn't find any appetizers, though I guess I can eat this melon if I ever finish the drink inside of it...
Randall Ahren
Did you try the witches brew also? It makes your head spin, literally. Murray is an interesting infohub. Has that nice bar, nice big deck, but virtually deserted. I suppose it's because it's designated as a temporary welcome area that LL doesn't start noobs out there. By the way, awesome melons. The cocktails I mean.
Sylvia Tamalyn
I was a bit surprised to be the only one there, and got so caught up in photographing the melons (you're not the only one to note their awesomeness), that I forgot to look for the witches brew. I'll have to make a return visit, I guess! Perhaps traffic will pick up once word gets out about the melons.
Randall Ahren
What do you think about having an in-world cocktail party? Might be fun. The first meeting could be at NY Jazz so everyone can dress up in their finest SL cocktail attire. NY Jazz is low lag, so it would be a good first meeting place. Sylvia Tamalyn
I think that is an excellent idea! I'd love to meet everyone and check out their finery, and a cocktail is always nice. I don't think I've ever been to NY Jazz, so checking out a new place would be fun, too.
Randall Ahren
I'm not sure what time zone everyone is in and what hour would make it possible for the greatest amount of residents to attend. I'm thinking 10 AM SLT on Saturday, November 5, 2011 should be good. While that may be a bit early for cocktails in California, perhaps they can wake up with a Tequila Sunrise. It will be 1 PM on the east coast of the US and time for the afternoon martini. In Europe, it will be evening already. And in Asia it be late at night. Here's the slurl: NY Ballroom Jazz Club Hope to see you there.
Sylvia Tamalyn
Yeah, the time zone thing is always tricky. I think 3 PM SLT is used a lot, but that sounds like it would leave out residents in Asia, which is no good. I don't object to having a liquid lunch, so 10 AM sounds like a better idea to me. And with a week's notice, I have time to shop for a new dress!
Randall Ahren
Sorry, the time for the cocktails needs to be adjusted by two hours to accommodate residents in the far east. The meeting will be at 8:00 AM SLT on Nov. 5. This is really early for people in California. I suggest a cocktail with vegetable or fruit juice in it for those who must arise early. I found a good web site to convert a time on a future date in one time zone to a time and date in another time zone, known as the TimeZoneConverter. Times and dates in major cities for the cocktail gathering on Nov. 5: New York: 11 AM Paris: 4 PM London: 3 PM Moscow: 6 PM Sydney: 2 AM (Nov. 6) Hong Kong: 11 PM Tokyo: Midnight

UncommonTruth
Thinks its a good thing we got the sunrises as the watermelons might be hard to toast with :smileyvery-happy: Now I gotta go see if my comp has any juice because I've got a pic of a great cocktail dress by Pixel Dollz (I'll fix that spelling later if I have too ^^)
