Error:"SL cannot be accessed from this computer". ISP:83.251.147.203. Why?

I cannot access second life from either of my computers at,

Isp  83.251.147.203

 

Why is that?

 

My avi name is Meaty Sapphire, and Meaty can log into secondlife.com

that sounds like a ip ban, or at least a network that doesn't allow you to enter SL.

 

Better contact support instead of putting you ip and name here... this is a resident forum, so everyone can see your post.

Thanks for the info supplied.

Your ISP (Com Hem AB) supply dynamic IP addresses, and it looks like your currently-assigned IP address was blocked by Second Life at some point in time, for some reason.

The solution to this is to switch off your broadband modem or router, wait two minutes, and then switch it back on. Once connection is re-established, you will have a new IP address and you'll be able to enter Second Life. There's no need to contact support.

This is Second Life's mistake, for attempting to place IP-bans on dynamic IP blocks. All it does is waste time, it doesn't reliably block anybody.
