Sorry to hear that.

You could and should open a support case at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and ask Linden Lab for help. There is very little chance they will get involved though so your money is probably lost. :(

I suppose your next question the is, is Marketplace fraud allright, and the answer is no, but Linden Lab doesn't care and they are the only ones who can do anything about it.

I have to point out in this particular case though that the seller already has three negative reviews saying exactly the same as you did...

You can report this merchant for fraud using the Help/Report Abuse function in your viewer.

You should be suspicious of any Marketplace offering where:

  • The seller either has a very new account or cannot be found in Search;
  • The seller does not have an in-world store (there is no "See item in Second Life" link in the listing); and
  • The item for sale is relatively expensive.  Full mesh avatars from legitimate merchants typically sell for around $L2,000.
