When zoomed in mouiselook I see this what looks like a snowflake bouncing in front of me

If you truly are in mouselook, it sounds like what you're seeing is your click target ( crosshairs, camera focus ..... ).  If you really don't want to see it, you can remove it with the debug setting ShowCrosshairs, which you will find in your Advanced (CTRL + Alt + D) menu.  That setting defaults to TRUE, so changing it to FALSE will make the crosshairs disappear.  (Remember what you did, though.  There will probably be a time when you want those crosshairs and will wonder where they went. )
