Disappearing threads

Recommended Posts

Check here and "My Rejected Items" from the same page. (you may need to sign in)

It's usually because your post fails the word filter/content tests. If you're trying to use adult language, non-Latin characters or external links, this could be why it's refusing to post.

Hey thanks. I guess they were all rejected without a reason why. Would be nice to know why a thread was rejected...in an adult forum. I took out all the few cuss words and the only link was to the club. I've posted club ads before with no issue so I don't understand this at all. I'll repost as a pic the offending thread here and someone can tell me whats wrong with it because I posted it to a Linden when I contacted support about it and she couldnt find anything wrong with it as to why it keeps getting deleted.

I'm afraid that's not how this works. Please see Community Guidelines:-

We prohibit abuse of our moderation process, including the following:

  • Posts that discuss or re-post material that has been removed or locked by a moderator

I'd recommend removing the image from your post. There is no place for that content on this forum (so sayeth the content filter).

No-one can help clarify this (and we're prohibited from questioning), though my guess would be a word that you've used in all-caps, under 'fighters/es...', that begins with 'h'.

That other word - beginning 'es' - is also difficult to use on this forum for historical reasons. I'm not too surprised by this occurance - you'll probably want to advertise your spam in a place that allows Adult-rated (by SL's standards) material. This forum (including the Adult Content Forum that this post resides within) is rated General, across the board, because it's crawled by search engines. I would add, that I don't think either of the Adult Content Forum boards are suitable for self-promotion posts, but I don't know how strictly this is enforced.

Good luck, and I suggest re-read Community Guidelines to get more acquainted with the rules here.

(As an aside, I'm saddened by Limp Bizkit and BfmV being considered 'hard rock' or 'metal', but I doubt that's a level of offence that the content filter operates on, while Ronnie James Dio can continue spinning in his grave.)

The word escort is used all the time in this forum. Go look. There are tons of threads with the word in their titles. People post their spam all over this place and this is no different. And I'm not going to remove my image. No moderator removed it. I know that for a fact. Because no mod is sitting at their computer removing posts not even a second from being posted. That is totally unrealistic.

And what difference does using a word in all caps make??? HARDCORE. HARDKORE. HRDCRE. Hardcore. hardcore.

This is what I am not understanding. There are literally TONS of threads with the word escort and other words I use.

*shrug*

Again, more clearly: I don't make the rules, I just recognise enforcement actions.

Do as you please and enjoy your day.

I just wish when a thread is rejected, they would give a reason WHY its rejected so I know exactly what needs changing. Everything in that pic is general content approved.

Continue wishing, but this won't happen. Entirely my personal opinion, but I wouldn't be surprised if this thread disappears too.

Whatever caused the content filter to trip up, if it told would-be-infringers what to change, they'd evade the oracle and resubmit the same, probably still infringing, content (as you have done, by posting an image of yours). Then the human moderators would have more work to do, and the filter would enter a game of whack-a-mole.

Very few smart forum operators work in this way. Given the alternative, 100+ posts of link-spam by bot accounts every day (as occured regularly some years ago, and led to the implementation of the content filter in the first place), I don't feel it's super-unreasonable, even though I've lost some of my own (non-spam) posts to the automated mechanisms.

No, I understand that. But obviously, I'm not a bot. I'm simply trying to understand what is wrong with my thread to make it keep being auto-deleted. And its frustrating when I look at tons of other threads just like it that are still there. That are not auto-deleted seconds after posting. That is clearly an automated system doing that, not a human mod. Maybe its a bug?

In Second Life most bugs are considered features by LL.  ;)

As Freya pointed out in the community guidlines we are supposed to keep things "G" rated in this Forum.  Sometimes we get away with things and get a little "Adult" here.  But your ad is very adult and sexually oriented.  "Girls who screw."  Yes, very adult.

I just dont understand how this filter system thing works. Mine is totally g-rated compared to some of the other in this forum. Unless they updated the filter recently??

And yet something like this can get past the filters? lol

Yeah sure, LOL. Prostitute is totally G-rated.

Somehow they managed to not break the Eleventh Commandment.

Somehow they managed to bypass the auto filter because I had to water mine down to literally nothing for it to finally pass. These forums are nonsense and theres really no point at all having an adult section.
