Double check the Transaction History on your dashboard at secondlife.com >>> Account to be sure that it doesn't include a record of the sale.  If it does, but you have not received the item, send the merchant a polite note (including a copy of the Transaction History details) and ask for redelivery.  Most merchants will be glad to redeliver, if the item was not no-copy.

If you bought on the Marketplace you should be aware that it is Linden Lab, not the seller, who is responsible for delivery and there is a good chance the seller never received your payment. If that is what happened, you should contact Linden Lab support https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and ask for a refund.
