Why are some avatars all one color? I have seen Blue or green, nothing else but their shapes.

Because those avatars are using mesh bodies or wearing mesh objects that are so complex that your viewer is not allowing you to see them properly. Instead, they are being displayed as "Jelly Dolls". If your graphics card can handle the load, you can change settings in Preferences to let you see more complex mesh avatars and worn objects.

Please note that if you are using a mesh body that is too complex or are wearing mesh clothing that is too complex, you may be appearing to other people as a jelly doll too. Check your own avatar complexity to find out.
