ALL of the movies that I try to watch in SL now freeze after 10 minutes. All sources. WHY?

Well, you should uninstall QuickTime (unless you use a Mac), for security reasons.  This will disable .mov format videos.  However, I have noticed problems with other video as well.

I don't have a cure, but suggest that you break the TV habit, at least in Second Life.  There's better things to do!
