The Firestorm viewer has a setting in Preferences that limits the amount of popup requests that your viewer will accept in a short time, as a security measure.

[Whirly Fizzle]

CTRL+ W closes the last open  floater.

CTRL + SHIFT + W closes all open floaters, so this should do the trick.
