The two answers in your previous thread are saying exactly the same thing.  If you sell L$251 for $1, the buyer ends up with more L$ than if you only sell L$250 or L$249.  So, buyers would rather see the higher rate.  Of course, you'll end up with less $ if you sell at that price, so you would much rather sell at L$250 per $ or L$249 per $.

Buyers and sellers have to agree on a price in the end.  If you are desperate to sell L$ as fast as you can, offer a high rate. You will find a greedy buyer who is eager to get more L$ for his money.  On the other hand, if you are willing to wait for a while, offer a lower rate. Most buyers will ignore your offer, but if you wait long enough you might find a desparate buyer who is willing to get fewer L$ for his money.

What's to get? Sell all L$978. If you sell at the rate of L$251/$, you will be expecting to get $(978/251) = $3.90 (minus fees).

If you were to sell at a rate of L$250/$, you'd get $(978/250) = $3.91 (minus fees) . Obviously, the difference is really tiny when you're only selling a few L$, like that. Most people wouldn't bother doing a limit sale unless they were selling L$25,000 or more. Still, the principle is the same no matter how much you are selling.
