Second life screen keeps blacking out on me.. It's super annoying. :/ Please help!

Everytime I'm on SL my screen will flicker, and won't allow me to do anything. It is a very common occurance. It does it just randomly, on an off everytime I'm on. It can last, flickering back and forth, for a couple of minutes.

My answer is going to be necessarily vague, but it sounds like you're setting your graphics too high. What you describe sounds very much like what happens when graphics is overworked and overheats. Ambient conditions determine how long this will take to happen, and how long it will persist.
