my husband tried to log in and it says his account is on administrative hold. What does that mean

Linden Lab will put an account on Administrative Hold [Not allow it to login] for many reasons.

In almost all cases you will get an email from LL regarding this change of status.

Generally you will be placed on administrative hold [in no particular order]:

o While investigations are undergoing regarding:

- Financial irregularities - sending or receiving Lindens suspected to have been stolen - Griefing - Age Play - Organized Spamming - Major Violations of the TOS

o While clearing up a report regarding:

- Your account being compromised - Your account needs to be verified due to a tax reporting issue and more than one failure to provide this real world information has offered

o If you account is behind in a payment to Linden Lab for a service provided.

In all cases if you did not receive the email from LL then call the Billing Department 1st to make sure it is not a financial issue.

If they do not have the answer then by all means Submit a Support Case

and if you are have a Premium Membership then use Live Chat to get things started.
