Question
DitsyDaisy
I've received an email asking for ID, apparently my request for credit withdrawal is on hold until I comply with this. There is nothing to indicate that this is a genuine request on my webpage, even on the manage L$ page. Someone who claims to 'work for LL' has said that this is correct and LL have to request ID every year from users - I've never been asked for this before. Has anyone else received such a request for ID?
Cant find an option to reply to the answer below so editing the question instead.
I've uploaded passport, which doesnt have my address on it but now the link has closed without letting me upload a second piece of id - so of course theyre going to say I've not complied and refuse to authorise the credit withdrawal. What do I do now?
Phoning those numbers below is useless - I used the UK one and got no help at all. Got told it's a specialist team who requests id and you cant contact them and the advisers on those numbers cant answer any questions about it. So bascially have to wait until someone decides to email me back - looks like I'm not getting any money any time soon.
Sorry, dont really understand what you mean Alwin. I have tried the link again - it wont work, it's timed out. And really not sure why they are asking for id to give me my money back when they are quite happy to take my money to buy lindens to spend inworld. Would understand if it was a new account, but its not. And bit of a problem if you dont have photo id. The telephone helpline is useless. Still waiting for a reply by email.
