Is there any way to add more prims to my LL house? I finally have my home the way I like it, however, I want to adopt an SL baby. Is there anyway to add more prims to my current SL home?

Prim count depends on land. Talk to your landlord to see if you can buy additional land.

If  you are speaking of the free Linden Home for premium members the answer is no.

You can though abandon your home and buy a mainland lot with as many prims as you want and not have to pay tier on the first 512sqm of it.

Just like RL, land prices are all about LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.  The price of mainland varies greatly depending on its location. 

A lot in the middle of a region with no water, roads or LL protected areas adjacent to it could be as little as $0.5L per sqm.  A lot on the shore of the Blake Sea with unobstructed access (no water lots between your lot and the sea) to the sailing there could go for thousands.

Prims per lot  (size in sqm)

117 for a 512

234 for a 1024

468 for a 2048

937 for a 4096

1875 for a 8192

3750 for a 16384 (Quarter Region)

7500 for a 32768 (Half Region)

15000 for 65536 (Full Region)

Note these are 'standard' lot sizes and are most common.  Lots can be any size

For most people, the largest cost will be the monthly Tier payment, not the initial purchase price of mainland. Assuming that you abandon your Linden home while standing in it, using the World - Parcel Details menu in the viewer, then the first 512 of land will have no monthly Tier fee. If you hold additional land more than 512m2 then this fee applies to the additional land:
