outfit saving is broken?

Here's an old thread with a fairly recent post that might work for you...

See Sukiyoshi's post, it's the third in the thread. It's possible that your cleaning didn't remove some avatar specific file that may be corrupted.

And if you attempted to wear any outfits that have broken links, then tried to save the resulting outfit, it won't work. So make sure everything you think you're wearing is really there.

You might also try another viewer, like Firestorm. To make sure that the issue is/n't viewer related.
