Yes.  That's the way that most people do it >>> https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Graphics-cards/ta-p/700073 Take a look at this recent thread in Answers, however.  If your computer uses an Intel series 4 express graphic chipset, you're out of luck.  Its drivers cannot be updated to handle the 3D graphics environment for SL.
