My avatar is always floating even in walk/run mode.

How can I stop my avatar from floating while in walk/run mode?  I have stopped wearing walk and smile HUDs.  I have asked my son to take off all traces of second life in my computer and reinstall second life.  I notice that I am still floating.  I have windows 10, and the latest version of SL is for windows 8.  Is that what is causing my avatar to float all the time?

Some things in SL are easy.  This is one of them.  Right click on youself and select Hover Height.  Then move the slider to the left or right until your feet are on the ground.  Note that you may need to adjust your hover height over some mesh surfaces, but that's why they made that adjustment so easy.  It takes a second or two.

BTW, the SL viewer doesn't care which Windows version you are using, as long as it's Vista, 7, 8, or 10.  The same viewer works for all of them.  Same with Firestorm or any of the other third party viewers too.
