Avatar settings wont save

Hi,

I'm new to SL, been looking for help in world but no-one is interested in talking to noobs.

If I change my height for example and move onto another body feature, it just snaps back to the default setting

WTF? how the hell do you save what has been changed?

I clicked on "save as" but still everything just snaps back to default

Why the hell is this so overly complicated, whatever happened to "keeping it simple"?

Poor connections can cause a multitude of problems in SL.  This is yet another symptom. 

I have made a costum shape for someone before and had it all perfectly saved (or so I thought) and gave the person the finished shape.  I went back to that saved shape a couple of weeks later only to find it was still my base shape I start with.

 

I should know better to work on laggy days by now.

 

Anyway, the best you can do is find a differnt sim with low lag and hope the asset servers are not having problems that day.  If there is any problem with communications between your local PC, the sim and asset servers, you get this pop back effect with building.

Go back, redo your adjustments and hit save, not save as, as I recall you have to rename it if you do that. Hitting save should save everything you've changed.

You have to change the title when you press "Save as", then it will save. Had the same problem. Hope it helps. I use Firestorm
