I'm assuming this book was very popular as it's for sale second hand everywhere but no longer available new.

I purchased a copy s/h and hoped against hope that the cd would be with it but alas no it was not. I have asked several sellers on ebay whether the copy they're selling has the cd but all have various reasons for not being able to confirm.

Is there a resident who can provide me with a copy of the cd or just make a RAR or ZIP with WinRar of it's full contents so that it can be transferred online? Or any other method of getting the cd or it's contents to me .....

I'd be happpy to provide a small remuneration for the service if required and/or for the postage if posting a cd or copy cd.

I don't think there will be a problem with copying the data regarding copyright laws, this is a second hand book that was bought imcomplete and I only with to make it complete and not for gain (apart from improving my knowledge:) )

I'd be really grateful if a member can help me out with this, IM me if you need any info, probably easier than replying on here although that's fine too.

I am not at all sure about the legality of supplying copies of copyright material, so it's probably not a good idea to ask about it in a public forum.

I see that the three authors' SL account names are listed, at least by Amazon.co.uk, and I know that at last one of them, Aimee Weber, is still active, or at least that she frequently posts over at SLU.     You might want to try to contact her (whether by IM, or via private message on SLU or via her website) and ask for her advice about obtaining the materials.

That book was published in 2007 which would make it extremely out-of-date on current Second Life terms, at least as far as "advanced" techniques. The CD content may either be unusable or easily available elsewhere on-line by now.

I'm a total noob so although I was aware that the book is old and may wellbe out of date in some aspects the msin topic of the book is learning to build and I'm assuming that is still the same apart from maybe mesh. It will certaqinly get me started in learning how to build and the CD will provide extra tools and and building items, textures etc. Thanks for your input though, it's appreciated.

I've done a rigorous search using Google and the CD content isn't online anywhere, I think the best thing would be to get in touch with Aimee Weber as suggested above and see if she can offer any advice.

Thanks again for replying.

Thanks Innula (cool name ! luvit)  those are good suggestions, I didn't thinkabout trying to get in touch with Aimee although I knew she was still active, I'll try to get in touch with her and see if she can help me.

Thanks again xx

Thanks for the suggestion Alwin, it really is amazing how kind and helpful people are on these forums :)

I know about the classes inworld and fully intend to make use of them in the future but the book is a wonderful teacher and I know with the content it will be indispensable at getting me started in building but that's my point, I wanted to get hold of the content rather than being taught at this moment.

Thanks anyway for your input, it really is appreciated,as I say, I'm continually amazed at the help people are willing to offer on these forums :)
