Hi Old501,

  1. Find the viewer in your Applications folder and drag it to the trash.
  2. Go to the Finder's "Go" menu, hold down the "Option" key and select "Library".
  3. Navigate to the "Application Support" folder. There you will find a folder with the same name as the viewer ("SecondLife", "Firestorm", etc.). Drag that folder to the trash.
  4. Navigate to the "Caches" folder and again, find any folder named after the viewer ("SecondLife", FirestormOS_x64", etc.") and drag that to the trash.
  5. Navigate over to  the "Saved Application State" folder and find any files with names starting with "com.secondlife" or "com.phoenixviewer".
  6. Finally, navigate over to "Preferences" and trash any files beginning with "com.secondlife" or "com.phoenixviewer", etc.

I might have missed a bit of lint somewhere, but that's most of it. Deleting the viewer from the Applications folder is the most important part, as the rest of the stuff is generally hidden from view in the Library folder.

Or, if you trust it, you can save yourself some time by getting AppCleaner here...

Here's a review of that app...

Good luck!

Monti, Apple does call Mac Applications "Apps", and just like on iOS, there is a Mac App Store.
