Miroslav Lecter
so, i've just learnt to make mesh clothes and import them. but when i try to apply my uv texture, it comes out like this:http://puu.sh/nU93d/a663f2a522.jpgwhat am i doing wrong? arton Rotaru
Ok, you have unwrapped it. Although the UVs of the back don't match with the pink texture. However, the front side should show the pink texture indeed. Do have checked the "Only Active UV Layer" in the collada export options? And is the active UV layer the one with the correct UVs? Miroslav Lecter
i used a different uv texture to test of the texture was my problem. Turns out its not as it does this for all textures. I use avastar to export. should i try not doing that?
arton Rotaru
I'm sorry, but I don't use Avastar, nor Blender myself. So you will likely have to wait for the Blender Gurus upon us. Just to get the terminology straight. When we say UV map, we usually mean the UVs of the mesh. This has nothing to do with colored textures we upload as images to Second Life. So the color map is the texture (Diffuse map), and the UV map are the texture coordinates shown as an image. It's only a guide to paint on. The UV's (Texture coordinates) are baked into the mesh actually. There are a couple of threads which talk about mesh export and UV maps from Blender.https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Mesh/Mapping-not-holding-on-upload/td-p/2909432/highlight/true
Miroslav Lecter
oh, i see. i may get terminology wrong but i do know how to export and edit uv layouts and use them to make textures, i dont need help with that part
arton Rotaru
These threads are not about how to edit UV layouts. They are about the same problem you have here, no UVs on your mesh.
