What does one do if there is an avatar impersonating you? Other then report abuse.

So it's come to my attention that there is a some person out there pretending to be me using sexual references that i am something i am not. They are clearly out to tarnish my name and copy bot my account and steal my whole avatar image pretty much and i sent out plenty of lovely reports for Linden labs to see and even included a screen shot of the evidence that is needed for proving that the avatar exists. How does one handle this kind of situation?

Exactly as you have done, you file abuse reports with linden labs and let them investigate the issue.

 

Other than that, by being a reasonable person so that others know its not really you.

It sounds like you have done the right things.  Now that you have submitted Abuse Reports, get on with your life.  To the extent that you can, ignore this other person.  Mute him and do not respond to any messages.  Let your friends know the situation, so that they recognize what's going on. If you have repeated incidents, you or your friends may submit new well-documented Abuse Reports.  Be sure to refer to specific elements of the TOS or related policies that you believe may have been violated.

Whilst this must be very unpleasant and upsetting, especially since from your earlier posts it has now been going on for more than 3 years, there is no way someone can 'copybot 'your account.  I think this person(s) only intention is to annoy and upset you, and by posting here they will see that they are getting to you.  They won't be tarnishing your reputation because it's highly unlikely that your friends would even find their profile.

I notice that they have imitated your profile style, so you could change that to a more neutral description to lessen their fun in distorting it.  Trolls love an angry or upset profile because it's easy to mock and seems likely to cause offence more than a friendly/neutral one.

In the final analysis the best thing to do is to mute, block and ban and then move on.  If they are ignored consistantly they will find someone else to tease.

Presumably since this latest account is very new the other ones have been stopped by LL, so they are doing all they are ever likely to do in dealing with this.
