0 Madelaine McMasters
Hi ToiToi, It's not easy to make significant income in SL. But if you have a lot of time on your hands, you might make a little SL spending money. Here's a page with ideas... http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Guide_to_Jobs_in_Second_Life Others may be along with more specific ideas. Good luck!
0 Rolig Loon
As Maddy says, it's not easy to earn a lot of L$ in SL. There's very little demand for unskilled labor, and what there is doesn't pay well. You'd have to work long hours -- instead of exploring or having fun -- to earn much. You can also pick up pocket change by playing some games (like Linden Realms or PaleoQuest) or entering contests. If you have good skills as a creator -- a scripter, a builder, a 3D modeller, an animator -- or if you are a good performer -- a musucian or a DJ -- you can earn quite a bit. Those careers are quite competitive, though, and they take a while to break into. At least for a while (maybe a year or two) it's probably smart to buy L$ on the Linden Exchange instead of trying to earn them. The good news is that you don't need much L$ at all. You don't have to sleep under a bridge or live on Ramen noodles. There is a lot of good quality free clohing (and other things) too. You don't need to buy land or rent a home. You can live quite comfortably by saving your lunch money once a week and buying L$ with it instead. And it will help your diet.
0 Monti Messmer
It´s a bit like RL. First think about what you can do, others may need you for. Then walk around check places that could offer these jobs and look for appliance-boxes or ask the place-owner. Jepp, work in SL is more for the fun not the income. (That´s like alot of jobs in RL too, now):matte-motes-sunglasses-1: Monti
0 Lindal Kidd
You can look for jobs in the Employment forum on this site, and also in world, by using Search and looking in the Classified Ad section, in the Employment sub-section. Note that most employers will want you to have at least 30 days of experience in Second Life before they will consider hiring you.
