It doesn't really matter whether they get a warning or not.  If someone tries to rez an object that will exceed the L.I. allowance for your land, the servers may often try to make room for it by returning other items -- and THEN send a warning. If you have several parcels that are owned by the same group and therefore sharing their L.I. allowance, it would be easy for one renter to go well over their personal allowance without realizing it.  The only way to be fairly sure that you don't have a problem is to leave some group land unrented, as a buffer.
