I can not get into SL - it keeps telling me to check my internet connection or it is a problem with

SL connections are far more finicky than most other internet connections your computer makes. There are a great many things that can get in the way of logging in, and we can only guess at which you might be encountering. Nalates Urriah has compiled a nifty list of things to check, here it is...

Start with the Quick Start guide (first link), as that may explain something you missed in trying to log-in. If nothing works, come back to your question and edit it (via "Options" over there in the right) to tell us exactly what you've tried and what hasn't worked. Your question will eventually fall off the front page, and we don't get notifications of edits, so if you're still unable to log in and your question has drifted off the front page, ask us again. The Answers forum was apparently constructed to thwart out best efforts to help people.
