how can i check if my video card drive is uptodate

Video card DRIVER...

Google is one way...

You can click the viewer's Help->About... before logging in, to see all your system specs. If you had pasted that info with your question we could have told you.

You can get a free program GPU-Z to find out detailed info on your video card and driver. But, all you need to know is in Help->About...

The information looks like this, and you are looking for the bold line:

With that information find your card's manufacturer's web site and look for Driver Download or Update. They usually have a program that will detect your driver version and point you to the correct update to download and install.
