I'm new to the forums and trying to enter the Leap Into Love conest before it ends tomorrow. How long do I have to wait before it will let me post a photo? Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

i have patience, i simply wanted to know how long i had to wait being i am new to the forums and the contest ends tomorrow because if it took a day of waiting time there would be no reason to enter it. no reason for you to be rude.

i realize no one can make a prediction, but these are forums for people to offer help. if no one knows an answer they dont have to respond, just like you didnt have to respond.  thanks for your input but i'm done responding to you and your "factual comments.  have a nice day

No one can make a prdiction. "no one knows an answer they dont have to respond," then if you clearly understand no one can why post this "i realize no one can make a prediction". Just pointless.

ok so i said i wasnt going to respond to you anymore but what you posted was actually pointless because i dont see what is pointless about asking a question regarding a wait time haha.

whoever can lock this thread or remove it please do as my issue has been resolved

thanks

There was absolutely nothing wrong with posting your question. It needed to be posted. And, in that post, you didn't say, and you probably didn't even think, that nobody can make a prediction about it. You were also right that there was no need for anyone to reply if they didn't have any knowledge about it. Getting the reply that you got was rather pointless and unnecessary. It's not typical of this forum.

I don't enter any of those things but, from what I've picked up in posts, there is a waiting period between first entering the forum and being able to post pictures. That's what I've understood. It may or may not be true.

So please don't get a bad impression of this forum. Your first experience didn't go as you would have hoped, but that was not typical.

And for the record there is an answer to this question.

It's after you post your first comment or question in the Forum.

(I'm feeling too lazy to document but that's what it takes.)

Well the world does not work on instant acknowledgement. People have things far more important to do than get back to a person they do not know. I fail to understand this attitude that others must drop everything just to confirm a petty minor act. The contesent entered, was registered, end of.

My reply is very clear on this. "You were also right that there was no need for anyone to reply if they didn't have any knowledge about it" unless one is paying, one waits until the unpayed person prcesses the information and enters the contestant, if a fast reply is want the pay real cash. That is real life.

So the answer to the question is posted somewhere?

ETA Yes it is, there is a link to rules at the bottom of the announcement.

Though they don't tell you here (link) what exact criteria are required to move you from one rank to another, I know from experience that all it takes to move from "New Resident" to "Recognized Resident" is one post.  Therefore, Perrie is correct... you have to post once before you can upload pictures.

...Dres

P.S.  Yes, "Recognized Resident" is not actually listed on that page, which must be wildly out of date.  I believe it's somewhere between "New Resident" and "Resident".

That is as clear as mud to me. I really don't know what you are trying to say. The problem had nothing whatsoever to do with paying cash.

With any question, there is no need for anyone to reply unless they have information to impart. You didn't. All you did was criticise the OP for a lack of patience by telling her that "Patience is a virtue" after she'd manageed to enter the contest. It appear to be a a criticism, whether that was intended or not. But the OP didn't lack patience. She had no idea why she couldn't enter the contest and, rightly, aked if anyone else knew why. It had nothing to do with patience, because she didn't know if that's what was needed. And it turned out that it wan't what was needed. What was needed was a post - not patience.

So I say again. Unless someone has something worthwhile to reply to a question with, it is pointless replying, especially if the reply is a criticism. You may have noticed that the OP stopped posting. She was new to the forum, and it's quite possible that she was turned away the forum because she saw the first person who talked to her (you) as being rude to her. That post was not only unnecessary, but it may also have been damaging. How much better would a simple line like, "Glad you got into the contest", have been, instead of wrongly observing a lack of patience?
