Seamage108
Is there a way i can send things to a person who is not currently online, but so they can get it when they eventually get back on?Like, you know how you drag things from your inventory to other people? I want to know if i can send something like that ,but t to someone who is not there.
Phil Deakins
Yes. Open an IM to the person and drop the item into it. They'll get the item the next time they log in. In fact, you'll be told that person i offline and that they will receive it when they log in.
Christin73
Yes it is simple. I do this with with my alt alot sending stuff to her from my maain account. Simply right click share and a window will come up of your friends list and click the name you want to share it with. They will recieve it in inventory when they come online. Alwin Alcott
be aware also deliveries can get capped if there are to many, they won't go back to sender but lost in virtual space.
Phil Deakins
Heh. I've occasionally seen that Share option but I've never used it, or even considered what it does. It sounds much simpler than the method I suggested - which works fine, of course..
Pamela Galli
Things sent by scripted object can get capped, but not sent by an avatar.
Alwin Alcott
yes it can...i had it several times between alts. Could it be different handled by dropping on the profile or put it in the IM?
steph Arnott
You can drop an object into the IM chat field as well, tho sending anything to someone offline is not 100% garrenteed to arrive. Also if they click the accept without returning a confirmation one is never sure they acctualy recieved it. Why LL have done that is a mystery to me. ADDED, the IM was allready mentioned i see, the rest is valid.

According to Limits ( http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Limits ) IM's are only stored on the servers for 31 days. But what about inventory offers? steph Arnott
Must be a time limit, what it is have no idea.
