I have been palying in secondlife for several years, now more of an occasional visitor. Last tiem I logged on found soem people in my hosue, chatted to them but when they left my game crashed and I cant get back on. I can log on and as the game loads i get to the message loading world, then my computer screen freezes and I can do nothign but press, contl alt delete to return my computer to normal. Has someoen been messing with my game am I blocked does anyone have any suggestiosn what I can do.

I have uninastalled the game and installed it again, even logged on as a new character but each time access is denied.

Hi Seamus,

Have you tried logging into a different region? It may be that yours is offline for some reason. At the viewer log-in screen, where you see "My last location", type in the name of another region, like Smith or Pooley. If you're then able to log-in, your home region is offline. At that point you can IM people to discover what's going on, or you can file a support case here...

Good luck!

I'll assume you'll try Madelaine's suggestion. If that doesn't work try these:

Did you add any friends or join any groups while in your last working session? If so use the web login to look through those lists, remove those additions. You can add them back later, if they aren't the problem.

Have you tried a different viewer?

Have you looked in your log file to see what it says the problem is? C:\Users\[Win_login_ID]\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife\logs\

Start at the end of the log and work your way toward the beginning. You are looking for ERROR messages. Let us know wht they are. Hopefully they give you a clue to the problem. They are mostly plan English messages.

Check that the connection to the SL servers is good. http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/

In a practical sense there isn't anyway another user can corrupt your system. Being in your home eliminates most of the tricks griefers can use. So, I think that is low probability scenario.

If all else is failing, go to the Offical alternate Viewers and install an RC Viewer. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alternate_Viewers

Good luck.
