Can we stop alts that are less than one month old from entering open community?

Anyone got any tips on how to deal with an annoying issue? Unstable person is banned from my open community, returns with multiple alts that upset my community with negativity and religious hectoring, alts are banned as soon as we realise (I have 16 people who have banning rights, 50 people who can eject). I also get abusive messages from original member every time she has been in with an alt, saying she will "destroy" my community. Is there a way we can stop alts that are less than one month old from entering without the use of a whitelist orb (impossible with 1800+ members).

If you own the land there is a setting in the land settings where you can set it so only avis over a certain age can enter. Can't remember where in settings it is but souldnt be too hard to find.

you say you still get messages from the original account?? why on earth didn't you mute that???

There are probably other options, but this is the product I used when that was needed.

You can just use it for the age ban and have everything else turned off.

If you read the reviews, it has a nasty habit of breaking and the seller is no longer contactable for a replacement.

All I can say is it worked for me when I needed it. I can't speak for others experience.

I have also messaged Seductive and sent her a security orb left behind as open source by a creator that left SL in a huff over the TOS changes. So she can try that too it says it supports an age ban.

You're right to be skeptical, the actual count is 1955, 1821 when excluding inactive accounts.

Then just pay someone US$100 to write a dedicated script and be done with it. Can the sell it ones self to recoup some lossage.

Hi. I don't own the land .. It's rented... but I have the full support of the sim owner (one of the Chung's). She has advised me that only avatars under real life age of 18 can be banned from entry.

You have allready said your own answer. I gave you what you asked for, upto you now. ADDED. You will most likely have to deed it to group, but as you will have the editable script try deeded and un deeded.

Hmm, have you tried setting the land to group?  If you have a group joining fee, and set the land to group members only, random stalkers are usually weeded out.  As they won't want to pay a fee each time.   (for DJ's and musicians, performers, etc, you can always manually add them without the fee, so no need to worry about invited guests having problems) 

 

I realize this would change the "open" community aspect, but may be worth it, if trouble makers are stopped from harassing members.
