cushloon Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 For some reason sl crashes when I move I can stand still for hours no issue, within 1 minute of moving I crash, I have tried many viewers and my computer works in every other virtual world without a glitch, I have tried all I know clearing cache, reinstalling, clearing logs and to no avail.Does anyone have an idea as to what maybe the issue, I am thinking sl settings but I have tried so many variations and read so much literature and cannot find a solution.Any help would be greatly appreciated or this PC will need to get its wiings out fast as i imagine being thrown from a 4th story window will be to it's detriment :)
Whirly Fizzle Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Without more info I can only take a very wild guess. Seeing as this comes up a lot, I'll take it. Does your system have Intel graphics & are you using a really old graphics driver? A batch of older Intel HD graphics drivers had a severe memory leak which can cause you to crash very easily when you move your camera or avatar or any new textures enter the scene. Updating your graphics driver will fix that. Second wild guess - do you happen to be using Webroot antivirus software? If neither of the above apply, can you describe in more detail what happens when the viewer crashes? Does it: * Silently crash to desktop -poof! * Lock up & go not responding for so long that you get disconnected. * Do you see a message saying "You have been disconnected from Second Life. View IM/Quit"? Can you go to Help -> About Second Life, click the "Copy to clipboard" button & paste all your system info in a comment.
