No, the proceeds of your L$ sale are not transferred automatically to your bank or credit card.   Until you request a transfer, the US$ will sit in you LL US$ account and, unless you tell LL otherwise, will be used for your US$ purchases from LL (premium membership or tier, normally.

To have the money sent to you, you need to have a PayPal or a Skrill account.   LL will not send money to your credit card or bank account.   It has to be either PayPal or Skrill.

The procedure is know as "Process Credit."   You can read more about it in the Knowledge Base article.

Briefly, you need to go to the section Manage>Process Credit on your dashboard and follow the simple instructions there.

The minimum amount you can cash out is $10 plus any fees, which are at the moment, a flat-rate US$1 dollar.   So you need to have at least US$11 to cash out.  So, assuming your only US$ balance is the ~US$7.80 you will have received for selling L$2000, you will need to sell some more L$ until you have at least US$11.0

When you put in a process credit request, it will normally take 3--5 working days to reach your PayPal or Skrill account, plus any US holidays.   Assume it will take 5 working days.

You "level up," as you put it simply with the passage of time.  Starting from the date you first bought anything from LL using US$, you can sell up to US$300 worth of L$ between the 8th and 30th day after the first transaction with LL.   Thereafter you can sell up to US$2000 worth of L$ a month, which is suffient for most people.    You can apply to increase your limit using the method described at Manage>Billing/Trading Limits on your dashboard.

When you sell L$, the US $ that you get are deposited in your USD balance.  You may use them to pay Linden Lab for monthly land fees, for example, or you may decide to send them to your PayPal account so you can use them in RL.  So, it's a two-part process, then.  It sounds like you have done the first part.

Read here for the details >>> https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Account-balance/ta-p/700015#Section_.2

The limits shown on the table you are referring to are monthly limits.  Once you have been in SL for a month, your limits stop increasing automaticallly, but are readjusted on a need basis.  If you have a routine need for higher limits, you can submit a support case and request them.
