Can I lose my Avi

I was told by someone that he/she had a Hud/Scripts that can delete my avi and IP where I can not get back on SL, is this true? and if so why does SL let it happen?

Nope, not true. No-one can delete your avatar or your (my assumption) IP address.

Some controlling folks invent silly stories to try and pretend they have power here. They don't, because that would be silly.

Hi Heretodj,

It's not true and so there is nothing for SL to let happen. Even you can't delete your avatar, unless you cancel your account. There are scripts that can cause all kinds of minor grief, but by exercising some care, you can avoid them. Don't accept objects from strangers, don't accept animation permission request pop-ups unless you know you can trust who/what is producing them. Don't accept  payment permission requests, again unless you're darned sure you can trust who/what is producing them.

And don't believe everything you hear. It's very easy to tell doom and gloom stories about the perils of SL. If they were true, it would be pretty difficult to explain why SL is still here.
