# 1: Sl has been acting up tonight, and that might be the reason.

# 2: Never accept things from people you dont know that want to animate your avatar.

# 3: Try to find one of those things to stop all animations.

In the Firestorm viewer in the menu Line:

Avatar -> Avatar Health -> Stop Avatar Animations

In the official SL Viewer:

Me -> Movement -> Stop Animating Me

Not sure where the function is hidden in other viewers but they all should have it somewhere by now.

Hi, Bobo --

The "Stop Animating Me" function will stop animations but will not prevent them from starting up again if they are controlled by a scripted object that you are wearing or have sat on.  Reinstalling your viewer may improve its own performance but not necessarily do anything to your avatar. The Avatar Test won't ever stop animations, although it will detach objects from your avatar and return it to a "default" appearance. The only way to stop a recurring animation is to stop the script that is controlling it.  If you have determined that it is not in something attached to you -- the first suspect is your AO or another HUD --  then it must be something nearby that you have given permission to animate you.
