How old is your avi? Look on your dashboard. There are set limits that go up the longer your avi is around. Look under Linden Exchange, manage, Lidex billing and exchange limits. That will tell you how much you can buy in a 24 hour period.

You've been in SL for quite a while (since 2011), but if you just started buying L$ this week, your account hasn't been activated for most of your SL life.  If Bobbie is right, then what counts isn't how long you have been in SL but how long it's been since you bought L$ for the first time.
