I can't for the life of me figure out how to buy lindens.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here goes.

 

Hello.

I'm new to second life, and I wanted to buy some lindens. At first I've tried Paypal, but it didn't work because apparently I can only pay through paypal with USD (my paypal is linked to my credit card). Then I tried with my visa pre-paid card, and it didn't work either. I checked the billing information and everything seems to be correct, but when I try to buy lindens it just tells me it doesn't work. I've been checking online and it seems that pre-paid cards aren't allowed, but if that is so, how am I supposed to buy lindens?

I've heard this is done to prevent people that are underage (because overage means "I have a credit card"), but there is no reason for me to get a credit card these days, it's less safe and it doesn't really offer any benefits over a pre-paid card that I can charge online from my bank account. So far I've seen no distinction between using a pre-paid card and a credit card when dealing with other services.

Any help would be appreciated, and thank you in advance.

paypal, covered by bank account and/or real credit card should work perfectly... it does for me for many years.

Your bank has to be verified/controled and /or the credit card has to be real, no prepaid.

I'll add that it doesn't have to be a credit card: a VISA or Mastercard debit card linked to a current account should also work. As long as it is authorised to draw directly from an account it should be fine.
