HOW CAN I GET INTO THE ADULT PORTAL?

I am new to this site and was wondering if someone might be able to help me. I was trying to check out another portal but it said that my setting were not set correctly. How can I get everything set right so that I can go through the ADULT portal? Please help.

we don't have portals here, SL is a big world, made out of sims with  age restrictions for some places.

You'r maturity settings are in your preferences, in search and on marketplace.

Next to that, many regions will have restrictions for your avatar age, as long you'r under 30 days, or no payment info you will not have access.

The Adult portal on Social Island is restricted to people who have an Adult rating in SL.  That's potentially you, if you are over the age of 18, but even then you have to set your preference for travel to Adult venues.  You have to do it in three places:

1.  In Preferences >>> General

2. In Search (upper left corner)

3. In Marketplace (Top center, a dropdown menu)

Some people set only one or two of those if they want to be able to teleport to Adult regions,for example, but not see Adult items in Marketplace.   As Alwin says, you may find that some landowners in Adult regions still will not let you enter if you are less than 30 days old in SL.  That's nothing personal.  It's their way of keeping out the most annoying griefers, who tend to get bored or ejected from SL in the first month.

Do you mean the Adult Hub?  

In any case, check that your preferences are correctly set in the viewer to access adult content.  (Me>Preferences>General, and choose General, Moderate, Adult from the drop-down list).
