I am assuming you mean there's a space between the foot and your ankle.

You can't edit the feet, they're mesh.  So, you need to edit your shape instead.  Try wearing one of the Standard Mesh shapes available for free:  https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Standard-Sizing-Package-Updated-Male-Female/2894727

If that solves your problem, then go back to your regular shape.  Note the slider settings, especially for the facial features, and transfer these to the Standard Sizing Mesh shape.  Save the result under a new name.  You'll still look like "you", but your feet will fit!

Check the standard sizing numbers. You have to chose the foot that matches what you have your leg muscles set for. If you're using a mesh body, need to chose XS. For a standard avi, check your numbers and match the size. The size listed has nothing to do with the size of the foot, per se, but refer to the size of the join spot, ie ankle for feet and wrist for hands.
