Is it possible to use classic avatar heads with mesh bodies? If so, how?

I purchased a mesh body from The Shops! It wasn't anything fancy, just the "starter" body (since I'm new to the whole mesh thing). I'm wondering if it's possible to use my classic's avatar head, with my newly purchased body? If it's possible, please explain how. I'd appreciate it!

I use Maitreya Lara mesh body, and I use my classic avatar head, I think you just don't use the alpha for the head part with your mesh body.

Yes, you can use the classic avatar head with it . 

 

That body should come with a Body Alpha which needs to be worn to hide the classic avatar but if it also hides the head then you'll need an alpha that just hides the classic body.

Of course it is possible.Just wear the mesh body with the alpha body/hands/feet. Then wear the stylemode which is in the folder The Shops Huds. change the colour of the body to be one tone lighter than the face. , then wear the Optional Retrofit Neckfader with the same number as the body colour, Hit Modify in the stylemode and then in the modify tab, hit Retrofit and.....voila!
