Hi ancient Mac user. The only viewer that works with OSX 10.6 is Singularity viewer from 2014 version Singularity_1_8_6_6156. . Download it seperately and do not login with Firestorm. Its good in medium settings. I use an iMac 24" from 2007 too with 4G RAM and the 256 Mb ATi videocard. Hope to survive SL in 2016 :). The Mac will do it.  Greetings Franklin Quar - Brown Mainland resident

Hi Golden,

If Franklin's having success, give Singularity a try. You'll find it here...

http://www.singularityviewer.org

It may work now, but it's no longer on the list of recognized third party viewers, which you'll find here...

http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory

If none of the viewers mentioned in that list will work under Snow Leopard, that may force your hand. I'd recommend moving up to Mountain Lion, but I think that would require finding an installation DVD somewhere as I don't think there's an App Store upgrade path for your 2006 iMac.

I also don't think your iMac meets SL's system requirements. The CPU is fast enough, but your NVIDIA 7300 graphics system may not be. The MacBook Pro also doesn't meed the requirement for graphics, but you might squeak by on Low settings.

Again, if Franklin's having success, that's all that matters. Your computers are of approximately the same calibre as his.

I do not know. But when i had my 2005 pc with windows XP, i could enter with Snowglobe or Radegast. Radegast has two options: with 3D or without 3D. Of coursed i used without 3D. Perhaps it can work for Mac too. For more viewers check here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory There are also illegal viewers but please do not use them. They contain illegal action and they act against Linden Labs TOS. Please respect CONTENT CREATORS!. All they do is to work so we can evolve and look better, walk better, have the prettyest houses and so on... in Second Life. I hope my answear helped you a little bit. Anyways, Lindens Lab allways try to make SL a better world, as you can see from this blog: http://blog.zoha-islands.com/breaking-news-second-life-2-in-2016/ https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Glogetting-support-for-Third-Party-Viewers/ta-p/1667117 Have a wonderful experience! Love, peace and music Bri

Hi Golden Avedon.

Sorry for (very) late response but now late 2017 i still use Singularity viewer on OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Some mesh avatars are showed wrong or are invisible.

Hope you still online in SL.

Ya know, you could have just searched him inworld and given him this message rather than digging up a thread that has been dead for more than a year.

Jus sayin............
