New home. Panel wont work. Rezzed TV. Screen works, sound doesnt. How do I fix?

I bought premium membership. seleved a home and joined sl. At first the panel worked and I flipped though the house options. only problem is it wont let me change hosue lay out. Second issue I'm haivng is that the panel stoped working. Now I cant change anything.

 

Lastly. I rezzed a tv. The screen seems to work but no sound works. i did this in a sim at arental and it worked fine. so im not sure whats wrong here. 

 

How do I fix these problems?

Check all settings in your sound panel (upper right corner of your screen) to be sure that none are muted or have the sliders moved all the way to the left.  Then, in World >>> About Land >>> Media, check that Sound Source rolloff distance is correct.  Reset it to defaults  (5m and 30 respectively for min and max) to be sure.
